Trade mission to Mobile Monday Global and Vancouver Digital Week

Vancouver is home to more than 1000 creative new media companies and has over 15000 people working in the new media industry. The latest figures show that there gross revenue generated by the new media industry in Vancouver which exceeds 2 billion dollars.

It’s the home of game-giants like Electronic Arts, Radical Entertainment and Relic Entertainment. The region is seriously investing in the development of a great business environment for the new media industry. In this perspective the region has attracted companies like Microsoft and Nokia to the region. A recently founded incubator for mobile developers called “wavefront” is another great example that this region is moving and shaking.

As this is the first time that a Mobile Monday Global will take place in North America a lot of visitors are expected from the Silicon Valley!

The organization of this visit to Vancouver is in the hands of Sandra Brandenburg ( sandra@handelsroute.nl ) from handelsroute.nl and is commisioned by the agency for international Business and Cooperation (EVD).

The EVD will be covering an considerable part of the expenses which means that we can keep the costs down for the participants.

Handelsroute is organizing this trip in cooperation with Mobile Monday Amsterdam, Deloitte Fast 50, Syntens, DigiBC, Dutch consulate in Vancouver, Canadian embassy in The Hague commissioned by the EVD, the agency for international Business and Cooperation.
