Nominations Fast 50 and Rising Star announced
Rotterdam, 23 September 2009 - Deloitte announced the fifty nominations for the Deloitte Technology Fast50. Also the twelve nominations that will compete for the title Rising Star 2009 were published. The nominated Rising Stars are challenged to pitch during the Rising Star Event on 1 October 2009. A jury board will announce the winner the same day. The winner of the Technology Fast50 Award will be announced during the Awards Ceremony op 29 October 2009. At this even the ranking will be presented.
The Technology Fast50 celebrates this year it’s tenth anniversary. In this scope the competition area is extended. Apart from Netherlands companies also Belgium companies are participating to the competition. André Claes, partner Deloitte Belgium: “It is for the first time that Belgium technology companies compete against each other, and also with Dutch companies. Belgium has many promising innovative technology companies. We are glad we can welcome some of these companies in the Fast 50 and give them exposure.”
This year most Fast50 nominees are internet companies. However, also software companies have a considerable share in the Fast50. Companies from the region of Amsterdam are most strongly represented. The nominated Rising Stars were selected by a jury board. The jury board exists of Henk Jan Knol (CEO Topicus), Joris Keijzer (former CEO Albumprinter), Paul van Dun (General Manager Leuven Research & Development) and Elderd Land (partner GIMV). The jury judged the Rising Star subscriptions mainly on turnover potential and nominated twelve companies with most growth expectations and best chances for entering the Fast50 election in the near future.
