Four Dutch companies in top 25 of the Deloitte Technology Fast 500

25/11/2009 door Marina Kapteyn

Rotterdam, 25 November 2009 – No less than four Dutch companies are represented in the top 25 of the 2009 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA ranking. Albumprinter has moved into sixth place. This position confirms Albumprinter’s status as the fastest growing Dutch company of the Fast 500 in the category media/entertainment, just like last year. This was announced at the annual Fast 500 Award Ceremony in London last night.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 is the annual 'growth competition' for technology companies from Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The Dutch company Albumprinter is among the largest European photo book suppliers, with its own production facility in the Netherlands. Early November, the company came in second in the Dutch Fast 50. It earns its ranking in the Fast 500 due to an 8.820% revenue growth over the past five years. With a 42.417% growth percentage the Turkish software company BIOTEKNO is the winner.

“We are proud that this year too, the Dutch companies are well represented in the top 25 of fastest growing technology companies of the EMEA region”, says Daan Witteveen, partner at Deloitte and Fast 50 programme leader. “It is good to see Dutch companies leading the way in technology”.

The Fast 500 numbers a total of 57 Dutch technology companies. In addition to Albumprinter, Webprint.nl (11), ApplicationNet b.v. (16) and EasyToBook.com were able to move into the top 25 as well. On average, the Fast 500 companies jointly realised a 1.470% growth percentage. Software companies continue to dominate the ranking with a total of 175 companies. The internet/media branch is represented with 104 companies, followed by 75 telecom/network companies.
